Profile
Backstory
June managed the West Mesa recreation hall for three decades and kept playing after every committee that promised to replace its floor had dissolved. When four longtime regulars refused to let her retire from organizing the morning run, she made them a roster and assigned the jobs they were already doing.
What drives them
Show that experience is a live competitive tool and build a team that does not require her approval for every useful decision.
Allies, rivals & friction
Leon stretches her schedule with stories; Marisol brings evidence she did not request. Blair Whitcomb shares her love of order but expects deference. Dani Cruz is the only rival likely to interrupt June with an even shorter instruction.
Room to grow
Can leave one decision unchaired and discover that her leadership survives delegation.
The signature
Motion Carried
She points decisively toward one cutter while maintaining a live low dribble, waits for two defenders to turn, then sends a brisk opposite-side bounce pass as if closing a vote.
The rules & the counter
The false agenda works only if defenders follow her pointing arm. She must keep a legal dribble and a genuine passing angle. Pressure on her ball hand can force an ordinary outlet before the diversion develops.
The weakness
She can spend a valuable second correcting the plan after everyone else has already found a workable alternative.
When it works
The celebration
Claps once, nods and gestures “next item” before her teammates have finished smiling.
When it falls apart
The losing reaction
Asks for one useful conclusion per person and visibly regrets allowing Leon to go first.
The constants
Always this character
68-year-old adult athlete; silver crop, lined face, strong upright stance; sharp decision-making and finite recovery speed. No frailty props or senility jokes.
