Backstory
Nyx ran elaborate tabletop campaigns at the Black Lantern Games Club, filling binders with contingencies for friends who immediately chose a different door. A late-night basketball run became her experiment in a game whose players would not wait for narration. She still labels her practice notes “possible consequences” and enjoys being right slightly too much.
What drives them
Master unpredictable situations without reducing her teammates to characters in a script she alone controls.
Allies, rivals & friction
Petra wants the actual plan in one sentence. Yuna enthusiastically adds complications that Nyx did not authorize. Tessa Vale objects to starting before the count ends; Ellis Park’s silence makes him frustratingly difficult to read.
Room to grow
Can let an unscripted teammate choice remain unscripted instead of retroactively claiming she planned it.
The signature
Roll for Initiative
She taps a rapid five-finger countdown against the ball while stationary, commits to a sudden low dribble on an unexpectedly early count and threads between two visibly separated defenders.
The rules & the counter
The finger count is distraction while she is stationary; a real early dribble and visible gap create the move. A patient defender can ignore the count or close the space. The gesture casts no spell and stops no clock.
The weakness
If the opponent refuses her bait, she can add one unnecessary layer of deception instead of taking the simple opening.

Closes one empty fist as though pocketing an imaginary die, then immediately looks for the next assignment.
