Backstory
Tessa captained the independent adult cheer crew Eighth Count. Venue mishaps trained her to rehearse every failure. The basketball team grew out of her desire to keep the same five athletes together after their rehearsal lease ended.

Count Me In
She gives a sharp audible or visible eight-count cue. Two teammates sell a synchronized fake on seven; Tessa sends the real pass on eight through the lane their fake has opened. The opponents must react before the opening exists.

She needs eye contact and an established count. The move cannot control opponents; broken timing or a teammate launching early spoils the opening.

She restarts the count to fix a mistake instead of accepting the useful improvisation in front of her.
