Profile
Backstory
Anika mapped parts-collection runs and weekend back-road rides for the Foundry motorcycle club, preferring the overlooked turn to the obvious main road. She joined its basketball run after correcting a chalk boundary everybody had accepted as straight. Nobody thanked her until the extra corner produced an open shot.
What drives them
Make independence useful to a team instead of proving she can find a different route merely because it exists.
Allies, rivals & friction
Rox trusts her improvisation and resents not receiving a warning. Maeve is the reliable landmark she loops around. Marisol Rojas loves a repeatable tendency; Anika considers giving her one a personal failure.
Room to grow
Can take a teammate’s good route without feeling that she has surrendered authorship.
The signature
Wrong Exit
She takes two sharp off-ball cuts toward an obvious corner, brakes against her own planted outside foot, then curls back around her teammate screen while the marker follows the advertised route.
The rules & the counter
Her initial route and planted reversal must be visible; the teammate screen must be set. A marker who stays between her and the basket can ignore the fake exit. She cannot cut through a body or change direction in midair.
The weakness
She sometimes chooses the interesting detour after the direct route is already open.
When it works
The celebration
Points toward the route she advertised, then toward the different place she actually arrived.
When it falls apart
The losing reaction
Traces the unused simpler route with one finger and briefly looks offended by its existence.
The constants
Always this character
Long-limbed athletic 31-year-old South Asian woman, 183 cm, deep warm-brown skin, mature sharp long face and dark eyes. Long side-swept black hair with teal streaks, black copper-pattern biker bandana, dark eyeliner, dark lips and ear jewelry. Angular tattoos on left arm and side neck; deadpan expression. Right arm and RIGHT knee compression are invariant; LEFT arm and LEFT knee stay bare. Independence is a choice and every reversal uses readable floor geometry, never random or impossible motion.
