Profile

Backstory

Rox organized the Foundry Night Ride, insisting the motorcycle club had no leader while somehow planning every route and sorting every late arrival. She helped clear an after-hours basketball court inside the cooperative garage. The other four recognized the arrangement immediately: Rox could call it anything she liked, but she was clearly the captain.

What drives them

Win on a system she and her teammates chose freely, then admit that chosen leadership is still leadership.

Allies, rivals & friction

Maeve backs her authority while pretending it does not exist. Jett treats “controlled risk” as permission for more risk. Blair Whitcomb’s smooth instructions infuriate her because some of them are very good.

Room to grow

Can own a responsible choice instead of disguising every instruction as a suggestion.

The signature

Kill Switch

On a hard advancing dribble she brakes into a deep planted crouch, letting the chasing defender skid beyond her; she instantly restarts in the opposite diagonal with the same live ball.

The rules & the counter

She needs grip, a clear braking patch and a legal continuous dribble. A balanced defender who stops short can close the restart lane. Wet-floor sliding, teleportation and impossible joint bends are never part of the move.

The weakness

An opponent who calls her predictable can bait her into rejecting the best available route.

When it works

The celebration

Makes a tiny engine-off twist with her empty hand, then immediately points someone back on defense.

When it falls apart

The losing reaction

Declares the plan too obvious and has to be reminded that she wrote it.

The constants

Always this character

Lean muscular 33-year-old Black woman, 175 cm, medium-dark skin, mature diamond face and tiny brow scar. Tall copper-orange-tipped black locs gathered upward, shaved sides and black copper-pattern bandana. Dark liner, hoop earrings, nostril jewelry, dense angular blackwork on neck and arms; skeptical captain expression. Her braking force and restart are visible, legal basketball mechanics. Rebellion never means cruelty, criminality or disregard for teammate safety.
